Dr. Ada Okwara is a compassionate and experienced family physician dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care for individuals and families of all ages. With more than 20 years of experience in family medicine, urgent care, and preventive health, she believes in partnering with patients to help them achieve their best possible health through education, prevention, and evidence-based treatment.
As a certified USCIS civil surgeon, Dr. Okwara stays updated on all Immigration and Green Card physical instructions.
Throughout her career, Dr. Okwara has been committed to improving how healthcare is delivered. She has led multi-site medical practices to achieve national recognition as Level 3 Patient-Centered Medical Homes (PCMH) and Blue Quality Physician Program (BQPP) practices—standards that reflect excellence in patient care, coordination, and outcomes.
Dr. Okwara completed her Family Medicine Residency at Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Georgia and earned her Doctor of Medicine from the Medical University of the Americas, St. Kitts, Nevis.
She also holds a Master of Business Administration from The George Washington University, where she developed a strong foundation in healthcare leadership and operations management.
Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Okwara has contributed to research on diabetes prevention and cervical cancer screening in underserved communities.
She is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and holds certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
When she’s not caring for patients, Dr. Okwara enjoys spending time with her 2 sons and dog; international travel; wellness education and mentoring the next generation of healthcare providers.
